Qualifications

• HHA License in the state of NJ.
• Understands the hospice philosophy.
• Minimum of one year experience working in hospice.
• Dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with prescribed exercise and ROM activities as taught by the Hospice Nurse.
• Provide assistance in toileting, positioning and transfers for bed-bound residents.
• Assist with ADLs including hygiene, grooming, mouth and skin care.
• Remind or assist patient with medications under supervision and regulations.
• Help with light housekeeping of the resident's unit and patient laundry.
• Feed and assist with meals as needed.
• Record vital signs and report changes to the Hospice Nurse.
• Communicate changes to facility staff when applicable and document details.
