Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in West Des Moines, IA is hiring Certified Caregivers to support residents with daily living needs in a compassionate, dignity-respecting way.

You will assist with activities of daily living, meals, social engagement, and communication with branch leadership. A CNA license, CPR/First Aid, and good judgment are required; training is provided to expand dementia-care skills.

Qualifications

• Active CNA license in good standing.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Know the residents you serve, providing care based on their service plans.
• Assist in all aspects of a resident’s daily life, including activities of daily living, meal service, and social engagement.
• Communicate with branch clinical leadership when a resident’s needs change.
• Provide care for residents with dementia using approved approaches.
