Job summary

Home Instead is seeking caring individuals to join our caregiver team in Poquoson, VA. You will receive hourly pay with weekly direct deposit, plus access to benefits and a user-friendly app for scheduling and earnings tracking.

As a caregiver, you’ll build meaningful relationships, provide companionship, help with meals and light housekeeping, and assist with personal care needs including grooming, bathing, and incontinence management. Flexible hours and ongoing training are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of paid professional caregiving experience (non-family) or certification as CNA/HHA/LVN/LPN/RN.
• Must have three professional references.
• Willing and able to work at least two weekly shifts with the same client(s).
• Have basic English speaking, reading and writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and build relationships with clients.
• Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping tasks.
• Deliver personal care services including grooming, bathing, restroom assistance and incontinence management.
