Job summary

Assisting Hands Home Care in Kentucky is seeking caring caregivers to provide personal care and companionship in clients’ homes. You’ll support daily activities, promote safety, and help clients live independently with dignity.

We value compassion, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Prior caregiving is helpful, but training is provided to help you succeed in a supportive, family-like team environment.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Dependable and caring with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• CPR & First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 2 weeks).
• Reliable transportation, valid insurance, and good driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and TB test (or obtain within 2 weeks).
• Previous home care or long-term care experience preferred — not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
• Help with mobility and safe transfers.
• Meal preparation and nutritional support.
• Medication reminders.
• Light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Transport to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Support clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Document care using AxisCare app.
• Follow safety and infection-control policies.

What You’ll Do
