Visiting Angels Albuquerque seeks compassionate caregivers to support seniors in the local area, including Los Lunas. The role focuses on compassionate companionship and assisting with daily activities at home.

Caregivers receive training and opportunities to grow in dementia and Alzheimer’s care, with a focus on safety, respect, and community service within Albuquerque and surrounding communities.

Qualifications

• Passion to serve others - a true caregiver.
• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Respectful and compassionate, with strong time management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Do the client's shopping or accompany them shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
