Meridian Senior Living in Effingham, IL is seeking a part-time Caregiver/Resident Assistant to provide direct care for residents. Responsibilities include bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility assistance and incontinence care, along with maintaining care records and reporting changes to the team.

Requirements include being 21+, a high school diploma or equivalent, compassion for the elderly, team-orientated, and strong communication skills; health screenings and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent and successfully complete training as required by State regulations.
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
• Must demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individual.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general public.
• Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others.
• Must meet all health requirements and pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care assisting residents in daily activities.
• Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, mobility and incontinence care.
• Keep proper care records and report changes in residents’ conditions.
• Interact effectively with residents, families, staff, vendors and the public.
