Job summary

FORESTHILLS is seeking a compassionate care assistant to provide daily resident care in a live facility setting in Alaska. You will follow the resident care plan, assist with activities of daily living, meals, and mobility, and ensure patient safety and comfort.

You will document observations and changes, and collaborate with nursing staff to maintain quality care. Responsibilities include greeting residents, aiding with daily tasks, keeping rooms clean and organized, and reporting any incidents

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with routine daily care and services per assessment and care plan.
• Use PCC to ensure correct resident information when assisting with ALDS, meals, etc.
• Report all changes in residents' condition to Health and Wellness Director.
• Record all entries on notes, SPAs, and incident reports in an informative, descriptive manner.
• Greet residents and escort them to their room; introduce residents to roommates and staff as appropriate.
• Make beds and ensure resident rooms are ready; keep residents comfortable.
• Assist residents with daily functions and personal care tasks; monitor for changes in condition.
• Report accidents, injuries, or incidents to nursing and supervisory staff promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and report any unauthorized disclosures.
• Assist with transporting residents between rooms and to medical appointments as needed.
• Observe for skin breakdowns, pressure areas, and discuss with nursing staff; participate in care tasks as trained.
• Follow policies on exposure to blood/body fluids and safety procedures.
