Job summary

GENESIS HOMECARE AGENCY is seeking a Caregiver / Personal Care Aide to provide non-medical, client-centered support in the home. You will assist with daily living activities, follow individualized care plans, and offer companionship to enhance quality of life in a respectful environment.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, strong communication, and reliability, with duties including light housekeeping, meal preparation, and documentation of care provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in caregiving or related field preferred.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude.
• Ability to follow detailed care plans and instructions.

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in caregiving or related training is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Follow each client’s individual care plan to deliver tailored support.
• Provide supervision and companionship to ensure clients’ safety and well-being.
• Support clients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and medication reminders as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and any changes in client condition.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and encouraging environment for clients.
