Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Caregiver (Personal Care Assistant) to provide hands-on support for residents, following individualized service plans and promoting dignity and independence. You will assist with daily activities, dining, safety, and enriching memory-care experiences while building meaningful relationships with residents and families.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and CPR/First Aid (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• Compassion, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and personal care.
• Follow ISP and document changes.
• Promote safety, dignity and independence.
• Engage residents through conversation and daily activities.
• Support dining services and maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
• Communicate effectively with families and care leaders.
• In Memory Care, create enriching experiences for residents with memory loss.
