Job summary

At Peace Healthcare Agency is hiring compassionate Caregivers / Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our growing team. We provide one-on-one, non-medical personal care and companionship to seniors and adults with disabilities in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• As a Caregiver / Personal Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate and dependable support based on each client’s individual needs and care plan.
• Assist with bathing and grooming
• Provide toileting and incontinence care
• Assist with dressing and personal hygiene
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Help clients maintain their dignity and independence
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding, when applicable
• Perform light housekeeping
• Assist with laundry
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
• Assist clients with daily routines
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Encourage independence and social engagement
• Assist clients with appropriate daily activities
• Develop a respectful and supportive relationship with clients
• Assist with ambulation
• Assist with transfers, as permitted by the client’s care plan
• Support safe movement throughout the home
• Provide medication reminders according to the client’s care plan and applicable requirements
• Assist with transportation to medical appointments, when applicable
• Assist with errands and community activities, when applicable
