Job summary

Sevita is seeking a caregiver in Fairfax, VA to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a community-based setting. You will assist with daily living activities and help participants engage in meaningful activities in the community.

The role offers hourly pay, full-time benefits, and opportunities for growth, with a focus on compassionate, patient care and building trusting relationships with participants and supervisors.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable and responsible approach.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities.
• Support development of goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
