Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, is hiring a caregiver to support individuals with developmental disabilities in community-based settings. You’ll assist with personal hygiene, help participants engage in daily activities, and work with teams to foster growth and independence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist people with personal hygiene and support individuals with behavioral challenges and other complex needs.
• Help participants participate in the community and engage in their favorite activities.
• Support participants in developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Communicate effectively with participants, families, and supervisors to ensure quality care.
• Maintain safety, empathy, and respect in all interactions.
