Job summary

OneWell Health Care is seeking a Personal Attendant in California to provide compassionate, in-home and facility-based daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with bathing, grooming, mobility, meals, medication reminders, and documentation while promoting independence.

The role requires reliable transportation, good communication, and the ability to follow care plans with attention to safety.

Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow care plans and detailed instructions.
Capability to lift and move clients using proper safety equipment.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
Provide companionship and emotional support to improve quality of life.
Assist with mobility and transfers with proper equipment.
Assist with meals and feeding as needed.
Assist with self-administration of medications per care plans.
Monitor client condition and report changes to healthcare team.
Perform light housekeeping and organize living spaces.
Transport clients to medical appointments and errands as needed.
Maintain accurate daily records of care provided and client updates.
Collaborate with nurses and therapists to ensure comprehensive care.
Follow HIPAA and confidentiality protocols.
