Job summary

A First Name Basis (AFNB) is seeking caring individuals to join our in-home care team in the Jackson area. This role supports seniors and individuals with disabilities across our service regions with compassionate personal care, companionship, and help with daily activities.

We offer flexible schedules (Full Time, Part Time, PRN, weekends, Overnight), competitive pay at $11 per hour, daily pay option, and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid ID and reliable transportation; ability to travel to client homes.
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings: background check and drug screen.
• Willingness to complete competency and skills assessments.
• Ability to work independently in home settings.
• Compassionate, patient, and professional with vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Light housekeeping and meal prep; assist with feeding.
• Medication reminders; accompany to appointments.
• Monitor health and report changes.
• Maintain a safe, clean client environment.
• Travel to patient homes across service area.
• Complete required in-service training annually.
• Document care per company and regulatory standards.
• Follow written care instructions and document services.
