Job summary

Companions & Homemakers, Inc. is hiring across Connecticut to provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care. We welcome compassionate caregivers who help with daily living activities and transportation.

You will transport clients, assist with housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and provide companionship. We also support dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care as needed, with documentation and reminders to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
