Job summary

FaithCare Hawaii is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide personal care and support in clients’ homes on Oahu. Positions require a valid nurse aide certificate or approved training, a high school diploma, and the ability to work under supervision of a registered nurse.

Applicants should have reliable transportation, English communication skills, and a commitment to client confidentiality. Benefits include health coverage and PTO when eligible.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of an approved nurse aide training program.
• Must be free from health problems that may affect care.
• Basic understanding of personal care, housekeeping and meal prep.
• Respect for clients, ethics and confidentiality.
• Criminal background check required.
• Current FA/CPR certification.
• Current TB clearance (2-step).
• Documentation such as ID, passport or SSN as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and related home services under supervision of a nurse.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, mobility and toileting.
• Support ambulation and transfers; encourage independence per plan.
• Prepare nutritious meals as instructed by the service plan.
• Maintain client safety and a clean home environment.
• Submit visit notes timely in caregiver portal.
• Confirm weekly visit scheduling and coordinate with others.
• Attend required in-service trainings and collaborate with teams.
