Job summary

Companions Forever offers non-medical home care across Connecticut, seeking caregivers to provide companionship and daily assistance in clients' homes. You will follow individualized plans, help with daily tasks, and transport clients to activities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license with insurance, and the ability to pass a background check. Flexible scheduling and ongoing training support your role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with auto insurance and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
