Job summary

Preferred Care at Home of Apex, Garner, and Fuquay-Varina is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide personalized in-home support across home care, assisted living, and community programs. You’ll help residents with daily activities, memory care, meal prep, and safe mobility while promoting independence and dignity.

Role involves flexible scheduling (full- or part-time in-person work) and opportunities to support families and healthcare teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven care experience or willingness to learn.
• Compassionate attitude and patience while working with seniors or individuals with complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Support memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, in a safe environment.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of living spaces with light cleaning duties.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to healthcare professionals or family.
• Assist with mobility using equipment like Hoyer lifts to prevent injury.
• Provide emotional support and companionship while following care plans.
