HomeWell Care Services, Inc. in Northwest Indiana seeks compassionate caregivers for one-on-one, non-medical in-home care to help seniors age in place with empathy and integrity.

We offer full- or part-time roles, competitive pay, training, advancement opportunities, and a quick hire process. Certification is not required, though dementia care experience is a plus, and a valid driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required, but CNA/HHA or 6+ months of geriatric care experience preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email, Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Must pass a criminal background check (national and state requirements).
• TB test must be current and negative.
• Physically able to lift/push/pull ~25 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; proof of insurance.
• Ability to travel up to 15 miles for shifts.
• Compassionate heart for older adults.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Mature, caring, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship with clients.
• Assist with daily living tasks (feeding, reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, grooming, toileting, light housekeeping, laundry, meal prep).
• Transport to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Standby assistance with transfers.
• Overnight safety support.
