Job summary

Senior Helpers West Jacksonville is seeking compassionate caregivers to support seniors in their own homes across ZIP codes 32223 and 32259. You will provide assistance with daily living activities, engage clients in meaningful conversations, help with hobbies, and document client status for ongoing care plans.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months of caregiving experience, CPR certification, and a patient, caring attitude.

Qualifications

• 6+ months caregiving experience preferred.
• CNA or HHA certification welcomed.
• Current in-person CPR certification required.
• Passion for helping others and serving the community.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a Level II background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide a helping hand to clients.
• Engage clients in conversations to build relationships.
• Assist with hobbies and activities preferred by clients.
• Prepare meals for clients to enjoy.
• Assist with walking, dressing, bathing, and activities of daily living.
• Document completed activities and report updates on clients’ condition.
