Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate CAREGivers for full- or part-time roles in the community. You will work one-on-one with clients, providing non-medical services to help seniors age in place at home, building meaningful relationships.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Must pass a criminal background check (national and any required by the state)
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• Ability to travel 15 miles for any scheduled shifts
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable

Responsibilities

• Social companionship
• Support with daily living tasks such as feeding and reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance
