Job summary

Elara Caring is seeking a Caregiver Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide hands-on support in clients’ homes, including bathing, grooming, mobility assistance, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship. You will promote safety, dignity, and independence while adapting to client needs and your schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of personal or professional caregiving experience.
• Hoyer Lift experience required.
• Ability to provide full hands-on personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable personal transportation to travel to client homes.
• Ability to lift, stand, bend, and assist clients as needed (up to 50 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance.
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and daily living activities.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform housekeeping, laundry, and household tasks.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to improve quality of life.
• Assist with errands, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments (when applicable).
• Promote a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for each client.
