Job summary

Sevita in Abilene, Texas is seeking compassionate caregivers to support individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community. You will assist with personal hygiene, help participants pursue goals, and build meaningful relationships while providing safe, respectful, and person-centered care.

This full-time role offers a competitive pay rate of $10.00 per hour, benefits, paid time off, 401(k) with company match, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred.
• Skills: Communication, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, time-management.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Support individuals with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition.
• Develop real, meaningful relationships with the individuals you serve.
• Take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy activities.
