Job summary

BrightStar Care of Hayward/Fremont is seeking Compassionate Caregivers to provide personalized in-home care across Fremont, Hayward, Union City, Newark, and Milpitas. You will work with our nursing team to deliver high-quality support in clients' homes with flexible full- or part-time schedules.

Benefits include weekly pay, paid orientation and ongoing training, and 24/7 RN support. Applicants should have caregiving experience, a valid driver’s license, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of professional caregiving experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• CPR certification and negative TB test (or chest X-ray).
• Registration on California Home Care Aide Registry (we can help!).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform caregiving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
• Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to the nursing team.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to clients' needs.
• Provide transportation for clients to run errands and get to appointments.

Role Overview:

As a Compassionate Caregiver at BrightStar Care of Hayward/Fremont, you will be responsible for providing personalized care to clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our nursing team to ensure that clients receive the highest standard of care and support. Whether you work full-time or part-time, you’ll have the flexibility to accommodate different schedules, including weekends.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform caregiving tasks

Bonus If You:

1. Have prior experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities.
2. Hold a current CNA or HHA certification.
3. Are familiar with additional languages to support a diverse client base.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available for both Full-Time and Part-Time caregivers, with a flexible schedule including weekdays and weekends.
