Job summary

ameriCARE Bay Area is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to join our growing team. The right candidate provides personal hygiene assistance, mobility support, meal prep, light housekeeping and companionship to clients across San Francisco and East Bay.

We offer flexible schedules with a total of 52 weekly hours, including evenings and some weekends. Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and at least 1 year of healthcare or in‑home care experience.

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting and continuously learning new skills.
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every day.
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for clients (showering, bathing, dressing, eating).
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility and accompany to appointments or activities.
• Plan and prepare meals and complete light housekeeping.
• Perform shopping or accompany clients for errands.
• Report any incidents and act quickly in emergencies.

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate caregiver to join our growing team! The right candidate has a can‑do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients.

We currently have 52 Weekly Hours available!

Here are the current schedules available:

Clients in San Francisco

• 20 Hours
  • Monday - Friday 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • Saturdays 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
• 4 Hours
  • Fridays 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Clients in East Bay

• 8 Hours - Male in Oakland
  • Wednesdays 9:30 am - 5:30 PM
  • DRIVING REQUIRED
• 20 Hours - Female in Richmond
  • Monday - Friday 8:15 am - 12:15 pm

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary

Qualifications

• Enjoy working in a one‑on‑one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in‑home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
