Job summary

Vitality seeks a dedicated Personal Care Specialist to join our team delivering compassionate care according to individualized service plans. You will assist residents with daily activities, basic treatments, and supportive tasks, while ensuring timely communication with supervisors and maintaining a respectful, safe environment.

You will participate in onboarding and ongoing trainings, adhere to all policies, and help maintain residents' dignity and choice in a welcoming community setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Meet state or provincial health related requirements.
• Maintain any certification as required by state or provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities as indicated in service plans.
• Assist residents with simple treatments as indicated in service plans.
• Support residents' emotional health and address behavioral issues per service plans.
• Perform other services for residents (e.g., laundry and pet care) as requested.
• Observe and report resident problems to supervisor/LPN or Medication Tech/Aid.
• Participate in onboarding, annual and in-service training and team meetings.
