Responsibilities

• Follow daily housekeeping schedules and routines.
• Coordinate cleaning with nursing services for resident areas.
• Maintain clean, safe, comfortable, attractive work areas.
• Adhere to infection control and universal precautions.
• Keep work areas free of hazardous objects and report safety concerns.
• Prepare and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, furnishings, and fixtures.
• Perform floor care including sweeping, mopping, waxing, and disinfecting.
• Vacuum carpets and upholstery as required.
• Clean walls, ceilings, and surfaces; remove dirt and grime.
• Handle waste and infectious waste according to policy.
• Respect resident privacy and confidentiality.
• Report supply needs and maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Empty and clean carts and equipment after use.
