Job summary

Haven Behavioral Healthcare, part of Oceans Healthcare, seeks a compassionate CNA to support patient care on our unit. Under supervision, you will perform vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED (CNA preferred) and are able to communicate effectively with diverse patients. The role requires adherence to infection control and de-escalation techniques; BLS training may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; NM states may require otherwise.
• Current CNA certification or 6+ months of direct patient care experience preferred.
• Must read, write and follow instructions; strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with unit rules and safety procedures.
• Apply de-escalation and therapeutic interventions as needed.
• Inventory patient belongings and secure contraband; perform unit safety checks.
