Tenet Healthcare in Detroit, MI, is seeking a patient care support role within Behavioral Health to provide essential assistance and compassionate care to patients under supervision of a registered nurse. You will play a key part in creating a safe, supportive environment during the patient’s healthcare journey.

You will conduct one-to-one interactions, facilitate groups, monitor patient status, assist with procedures, and document observations according to Michigan Mental Health Code.

Qualifications

• Two years of college study in behavioral health or equivalent; six months of clinical experience.
• Or a Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health discipline.

Responsibilities

• Provides one-to-one interaction with patients requiring intense care.
• Facilitates group teaching and sessions; observes patients for safety and medication effects.
• Completes court petitions and testifies to substantiate the need for court ordered treatment.
• Documents patient observations per prescribed standards.
• Educates patients and families about rights under the Michigan Mental Health Code.
