Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience working with the specific population of the facility preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and ensure patient safety in the facility.
• Conduct safety checks and supervise at 15-minute intervals as needed.
• Document timely, accurate clinical information in the patient’s medical record.
• Assist with activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, meals).
• Support a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for patients and staff.
• Engage with patients and observe behaviors, communicating observations to staff.
• May coordinate or provide transportation for patients when required.
• Acknowledge and resolve patient complaints; maintain a professional demeanor.
