Job summary

AllCare HomeCare, LLC. is seeking a dedicated caregiver to support a non-speaking autistic adult in daily activities while promoting safety, dignity, and independence. The role emphasizes learning and using the client’s preferred communication methods and following the individualized care plan.

The caregiver will provide supervision, help with personal care and meals, ensure hydration, maintain a clean home, and accompany the client to appointments and activities as outlined in the plan.

Qualifications

• Experience with safety and following care plans.
• Ability to assist with activities of daily living.
• Knowledge of non-speaking communication methods.
• Ability to document services accurately.
• Respect client privacy and boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to promote client health, safety, and well-being.
• Assist with daily living activities as identified in the care plan.
• Provide personal care, hygiene, grooming, dressing when needed.
• Assist with meal preparation and support during meals.
• Encourage hydration and nutrition per routine.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment.
• Support client with daily routines and activities.
• Assist with transportation or community activities when authorized.
• Accompany client to appointments, outings, shopping as needed.
• Encourage independence; prompt rather than do for client.
• Monitor well-being and report concerns to supervisor.
• Follow individualized care instructions, safety procedures, policies.
• Maintain professional boundaries and client privacy.
• Document services and activities accurately.
