Job summary

This role requires a High School diploma or GED plus at least six months of animal-care experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to interact with the public while handling animals safely and professionally.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes animal housing and keeping areas.
• Feeds, waters, exercises, and socializes animals.
• Inspects animals and cages for health and safety.
• Maintains basic clerical records related to the animals.
• Handles monies from the sale or custody of animals.
• Assists in euthanasia, vaccination, and medication.
• Counsels citizens on responsible animal ownership and leash laws.
• Demonstrates effort to improve operations and customer service.
