Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
• Pre-employment drug testing and background checks may be required.
• Official transcripts, diplomas, certifications, and licenses must be submitted at processing.
• DD214 may be attached to the application for military service.
• Substitution rules: 2 years of related experience for 1 year of higher education, or 1 year of higher education for 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Feeds animals as scheduled and ensures water is available at all times.
• Cleans and sanitizes kennel areas, equipment, and outside areas of grounds.
• Maintains inventory of animals, equipment, and supplies.
• Updates animal information in Chameleon database.
• Screens animals for disposition and updates pick-up orders.
• Transports animals to and from adoption events and related locations.
• Assists customers in finding owned, adoptable or transferable animals.
• Reports health or behavioral problems to supervisor immediately.
• Obtains feed and necessary supplies.
• Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
