Job summary

Momentous Health at Vandalia is seeking an Activity Aid who genuinely cares about residents and wants to make a difference. You will lead activities that inspire spiritual, cognitive, social, physical and creative expression in a warm, team‑oriented environment.

The role requires a high school graduate and, ideally, prior activity assistant or long‑term care experience, along with empathy and effective communication to engage residents and their families.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Prior experience as activity assistant preferred.
• Prior experience in Long-Term Care/Healthcare is preferred.
• Empathy and care for those that need help.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead scheduled activities programs that inspire spiritual, cognitive, social, physical and creative expressions
• Assist with the organizing, planning and implementation of programs and opportunities that promote resident well-being
• Enthusiastically promote and communicate programs and events to residents
• Passionately motivate and serve residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities
• Interact with families and visitors of our residents
