St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, KY, is hiring an Activities Assistant for our Skilled Nursing unit. The role supports residents through a varied activities program designed to meet interests and promote well-being, independence, and social engagement.

The position is part-time, 24 hours per week, 9 AM–5 PM with no weekends. Requirements include a High School Diploma and a demonstrated interest in gerontology; prior experience with elderly programs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Awareness, knowledge and interest in gerontology.
• Experience in a social/recreational program involving the elderly population.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing activities programs (1:1, group, self-directed) and document type and frequency.
• Adjust activities to meet current resident needs and interests.
• Support care planning and monitor resident involvement in daily activities.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to maximize resident benefit and assist with monthly calendars.
• Contribute to continuing education and design resident-appropriate activities.
