Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking a PRN Activities Assistant at 880 Main Street, Wadsworth, OH to plan and run engaging programs for residents in our assisted living and memory care areas.

Requirements include a high school diploma, ability to lift 50 pounds, weekend/evening availability, and a compassionate, organized approach to serving older adults. We offer a kind workplace with great benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Walk, stand and sit intermittently during the day.
• Availability to work on weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
• Must understand the social, psychological and recreational needs of older adults on a continuum of care campus and must be able to plan and organize activities geared to these needs.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm and must be able to work effectively with people.
• Must possess strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Organize and carry out a program of activities covering spiritual, recreation, diversion, and educational development for residents.
• Assist in directing activities as an integral part of total resident care.
• Coordinate outings and live entertainment for residents.
