The Village of St. Edward in Wadsworth, OH is seeking a PRN Activities Assistant to join our Assisted Living/Memory Care team. You will help organize and carry out a diverse program of activities for residents, including social, spiritual and educational activities, outings, and entertainment.

We value commitment, kindness, and respectful interactions. The role requires physical stamina, weekend/evening availability, and a caring approach to older adults on a continuum of care campus.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Walk, stand and sit intermittently during the day.
• Availability to work on weekends, evenings, and some holidays.
• Must have an understanding of the social, psychological and recreational needs of older adults on a continuum of care campus and must be able to plan and organize activities geared to these needs.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm and must be able to work effectively with people.
• Must possess strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have reliable transportation

Responsabilités

• In the Activities Department, organize and carry out a program of activities covering spiritual development, recreation, and intellectual/educational development for residents.
• Assist in directing and implementing diverse programs, outings, live entertainment and more for residents.
• Plan and coordinate activities geared to the needs of older adults on a continuum of care campus.
• Work with residents to ensure meaningful engagement and a positive resident experience.
