Job summary

Pfizer seeks a skilled CM leader to manage a vivarium and ensure the highest care and welfare standards. You will supervise animal care staff, support training, and collaborate with researchers to deliver compliant, high-quality study support across the WRD CM program.

You will help implement occupational health and safety initiatives, advance 3Rs, and drive metrics-based improvements while coordinating budgets and resource planning. Relocation support is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• BS/BA with 5 to 7 years experience OR MA/MBA/MS with 3 to 6 years experience OR PhD with <2 years experience.
• LATG certification required.
• Supervisory experience.
• Ability to demonstrate level of technical skills and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assure care and welfare of laboratory animals in compliance with regulations and AAALAC guidelines.
• Lead animal care and technical staff; ensure adherence to policies and procedures.
• Support career and personal development of CM staff.
• Assist with centralized CM training for staff and researchers.
• Participate in centralized CM occupational health and safety program.
• Promote culture of care and 3Rs in projects.
• Interface with researchers to provide specialty services as needed.
• Collect metrics and share best practices across CM sites.
• Develop and implement QA programs, manage budgets and resources.
