A regional trucking company in East Chicago is seeking a Tractor-Trailer Driver to ensure compliance with safety regulations and transport materials to local customers. You will be responsible for loading, securing cargo, and maintaining vehicle logs. Candidates should have at least three years of flatbed operation experience, a clean driving record, and a Commercial Driver's License – A. This role requires a commitment to safety and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years operating flatbed.
• Driving record must be traffic accident and violation free for three years.

Job description

Responsible for driving a tractor-trailer in compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as company policies and procedures for transporting various materials in a safe and timely manner to regional or local customers.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for proper loading and securing freight to prevent movement and allow safe transport.
• Assist in loading and unloading as required.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Perform vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance before, during and after trips.
• 80Services truck with oil and fuel and keeps vehicles clean to maintain tractor-trailers.
• Keep the interior and exterior of the cab clean.
• Works with dispatch for delivery assignments and road service throughout the day.
• Reads bill of lading to determine assignment schedule.
• If necessary, report all incidents and accidents accurately and timely within the scope of the company and DOT required processes.

Experience

• Experience hauling steel a plus
• Minimum three year's operating flatbed.
• Driving record must be three years traffic accident and violation free.

License

• Commercial Driver's license – A
• TWIC card beneficial
