Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings seeks Local CDL-A Shuttle Drivers for Detroit, MI. These home-daily, local shuttle routes offer 1st shift from 5:00 am to 2:30 pm with stable, year-round work in a union environment (Teamsters Local 299).

Pay starts at $21.00/hour for 0-1 year experience, $22.50/hour for experienced drivers, with a raise to $24.25/hour after 1 year. OT applies after 40 hours; only light loading tasks may be required.

Local CDL-A Shuttle Drivers Needed – Home Daily!

Universal Dedicated of Detroit is seeking reliable CDL-A drivers for local shuttle routes based in Detroit, MI. This is a great opportunity to join a union position with steady freight, consistent schedules, and daily home time.

Terminal Location:

14250 Plymouth Rd Detroit, MI

Pay:

• $22.50/hour experienced drivers
• $21.00/hour for 0-1 year experience
• After 1 year jumps to $ 24.25 /hour

Position Details:

• Local shuttle routes (home daily)
• 1st shift opening 5 am - 2:30 pm
• Light touch freight (not loading and unloading but will involve chaining or strapping up loads that drivers are held accountable for)
• 2–3 runs per day between terminal and customer locations
• Consistent 8–9 hour workdays
• OT after 40 hours (5-10 hours usually for 5 day work week. more if a 6th day is offered)
• Stable, year-round work
• Union position (Teamsters Local 299)
• Seniority-based route bidding every 6 months

Responsibilities:
