Job summary

Barr’s Homecare, LLC (Happier At Home Southwest Ohio) is seeking Companion Caregivers/STNAs to provide compassionate companionship and personal care to seniors in their own homes in Southwest Ohio. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, meals, and medication reminders, plus light housekeeping and transportation.

Prior caregiving experience preferred; STNA is a plus but not required. We offer competitive pay up to $20/hour with flexible weekends and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year caregiving experience, preferably with seniors.
• Certified STNA preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong interpersonal and compassionate demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Provide warm companionship to reduce loneliness and promote emotional well-being.
• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Offer medication reminders to ensure timely intake.
• Help prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe home.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and activities.
• Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s to enhance safety and comfort.
• Observe and report changes in client condition to supervisors.
• Ensure safety and well-being during care visits.
• Flexible weekend availability to meet scheduling needs.
• Complete required background checks and training.

We provide personalized home care services designed to meet the unique needs of each client throughout Southwest Ohio. We are currently seeking Companion Caregivers/STNAs who have a passion for making a positive difference in the lives of seniors by providing attentive and respectful companionship alongside personal care assistance. Responsibilities

• Provide warm and engaging companionship to clients to reduce feelings of loneliness and promote emotional well-being.

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting as needed.

• Offer medication reminders to ensure clients take medications on time.

• Help prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.

• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe home environment.

• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social activities.

• Offer specialized support for clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease to enhance comfort and safety.

• Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition to supervisors.

• Ensure the overall safety and well-being of clients during care visits.

• Minimum of 1 year experience in caregiving, preferably with seniors or in home health care.

• Certified STNA (State Tested Nursing Assistant) credentials preferred but not required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor.

• Ability to assist with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.

• Dependable and flexible availability to meet client scheduling needs.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client-related errands and appointments.

• Physical capability to assist with mobility and transfers when necessary.

• Commitment to maintaining client dignity, privacy, and safety at all times.

• Willingness to complete background checks and participate in required training programs.

• Earn a competitive hourly rate of up to $20 per hour
