A Companion Caregiver supports seniors with responsibilities such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, mobility assistance, and transportation. We also offer opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care to help caregivers develop their skills further.

Companion Caregiver Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist with ambulation and mobility (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.)
• Support with personal care and hygiene
• Assist with routine exercises
• Plan and prepare meals with client assistance when possible
• Shop for clients or accompany them shopping
• Perform light housekeeping tasks
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report unusual incidents
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies

Requirements

• Passion for serving others and caregiving
• Knowledge of emergency response and first aid
• Experience with housekeeping and cooking, respecting dietary needs
• Adherence to health and safety standards
