Job summary

Zoetis is seeking an Animal Research Technician at the Richland, MI site to support Companion Animals in a research environment. The role involves day-to-day facility operations, animal care, data collection, and protocol execution under SOPs and Institutional Policies.

Weekend and holiday work is expected on rotation. Responsibilities include study execution, animal husbandry, record keeping, cleaning, and collaboration with lead technicians, managers, and researchers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 4 years related experience or education combined.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced setting with multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all aspects of study execution including in-vivo study protocol review and data collection.
• Performs animal husbandry, treatments, record keeping, and equipment maintenance per SOPs and policies.
• Cleans and disinfects animal areas and adheres to Animal Welfare and GXP policies.
• Supports clinical veterinarians with veterinary care as needed.
• Provides training in standard animal procedures and contributes to continuous improvement.
