Qualifications

• Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair, OR 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
• Valid drivers license.
• Preferred: Mechanical or trade school certificate.
• Preferred: Certificate in electronic diagnostics, ASE certificate, welding/fabrication skills.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The compacter repair technician performs repairs and maintenance to compactors to maximize operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Compacter Repair Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on compactors.


• Performs preventive maintenance inspections, diagnostics and repair of electrical and hydraulic systems on compactors.


• May travel to customer locations within Region to repair containers.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:

Required:

• Equivalent of (1) high school diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR (2) 4 years of related equipment maintenance and repair.


• Valid drivers license.

Preferred:

• Mechanical or trade school certificate


• Certificate in electronic diagnostics


• ASE certificate


• Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience.
