Stowers Machinery Corporation is expanding into Southern Florida via Coastal Construction Equipment, LLC, seeking a Compact Equipment Shop Technician to diagnose, repair, and service CAT compact equipment in shop and field settings.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems, completing work orders safely, and maintaining high quality and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Technical training or an Associate degree in diesel technology, heavy equipment repair, or a related field preferred.
Understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy equipment components.
Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools, shop equipment, and repair procedures.
Knowledge of safety procedures, PPE requirements, and shop best practices.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on heavy equipment in the main shop.
Complete preventative maintenance services including fluid changes, inspections, and adjustments.
Document all findings, parts used, and repair actions in work orders.
Communicate equipment condition and recommended repairs to supervisors.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
Follow all safety procedures and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Assist with moving equipment in and out of the shop as needed.
Support warranty repair processes and proper documentation.
