Opportunity: Comp Food Attendant

Prepare and maintain complimentary food and beverage service and dining areas for hotel guests while greeting and assisting guests in a friendly manner consistent with brand and/or hotel and sustainability standards.

Essential Functions

  1. Meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, and escort guests to their seats.
  2. Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from pantry to serving counters.
  3. Set up attractive food displays and maintain cleanliness to ensure food safety.
  4. Maintain proper set-up of dining room and wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths.
  5. Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
  6. Clean up spilled food or drink or broken dishes and remove trash.
  7. Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean glassware, dishes, or trays.
  8. Fill beverage and ice dispensers.
  9. Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
  10. Locate and provide items requested by guests.
  11. Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in service area and mop or vacuum floors.
  12. Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  13. Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  14. Practice safe work habits and use required safety equipment.
  15. Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  16. Perform other duties as requested by management.

Position Requirements

  1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  2. Food sanitation certification a plus and required within 90 days of employment.
  3. Previous food and beverage experience preferred or equivalent training.

Work Environment and Context

  1. Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays and weekends.
  2. Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching; stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
