Job summary

Resource Center in Dallas is seeking a Community Wellness Engagement Specialist to advance our Community Wellness model by building partnerships with LGBTQIA+ organizations and external providers. You will co-create programming that blends social connection with therapeutic elements and works closely with the mental healthcare team.

The role emphasizes outreach, event planning, and culturally competent programming, requiring evening and weekend availability and experience with LGBTQIA+

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in outreach, program coordination, or health/wellness initiatives.
• Experience with event planning and digital engagement strategies.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with LGBTQIA+ populations and culturally diverse communities.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends for scheduled community events.
• Knowledge of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) frameworks preferred.
• Familiarity with digital learning platforms or LMS systems preferred.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with community partners to expand outreach across North Texas.
• Develop, design, and coordinate community wellness programming including prevention, psychoeducation, and social events.
• Collaborate with Mental Healthcare team to ensure trauma-informed, culturally competent approaches.
• Coordinate scheduling, registration, and participant support with the Community Wellness Coordinator.
• Align logistics with the Community Wellness Front Office Coordinator for a smooth participant experience.
• Coordinate staffing and programming across non-traditional pathways with mental health staff.
• Build and manage strategic partnerships to co-create wellness programming and mutual referrals.
