Job summary

Center for Justice Innovation is seeking a Coordinator for the RISE Project. You will coordinate a city-wide effort addressing gun violence and IPV, focusing on Brooklyn and Queens, and work with diverse partners to engage communities and deliver trainings.

The role requires a Bachelor's in human services and 2–3 years of related violence prevention or community engagement experience, with a preference for Master’s level work and strong facilitation skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related field with 2–3 years of violence prevention or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Experience in community organizing, project management and group facilitation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Educate and support staff on IPV/DV issues and related violence prevention strategies.
• Develop and facilitate regular trainings for staff, schools, and community members.
• Coordinate youth programs focused on healthy relationships and IPV/DV prevention.
• Plan community events to reduce violence and promote accountability and healing.
• Meet regularly with city partners to ensure collaboration and communication.
• Build relationships with community partners and attend meetings as needed.
• Document services with comprehensive notes within 24–48 hours.
• Submit monthly program reports capturing key data.
