Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles seeks a Driver to support Head Start and related programs by transporting participants and staff between locations, assisting with mobility devices, and conducting donation pickups. The role requires a California driver’s license, a clean driving record, and delivery/driver experience.

The position is on-site and involves daily routes, vehicle maintenance, and record-keeping.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience as delivery or passenger driver.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or other language is preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Transport program participants and staff to and from locations.
• Assist passengers with wheelchairs, car seats and other mobility devices.
• Conduct donation pickups from outside agencies and drop-offs at inter-agency locations.
• Maintain trip records, mileage, and fuel usage.
• Ensure vehicle is clean and maintained; report needs for routine maintenance.
