Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a Driver, Shuttle (Class B) to operate VOALA passenger shuttle buses and other VOALA vehicles. You will transport participants and staff on scheduled routes, assist with mobility devices, and perform routine delivery duties on-site and at program locations.

The role requires a valid Class B California CDL (or ability to obtain within six months), clean driving history, and a one-year delivery or passenger driving background.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint clearance and background check required
• Ability to work under stressful situations with vulnerable individuals
• Clean driving record and valid California CDL Class B or ability to obtain within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Operate VOALA Passenger shuttle bus or VOALA vehicle following scheduled routes
• Transport program participants to and from locations including human service sites and medical facilities
• Assist passengers with wheelchairs, car seats and mobility devices while ensuring safety
• Perform routine pickup and delivery runs, including kitchen/food transport as needed
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform basic maintenance and repairs as required
• Record trips, mileage, and fuel use; follow donor and program guidelines
